Niteworks by Herbalife Product Review

Nutrition Geeks

Seeking more details about niteworks by Herbalife? Niteworks is an exciting powder mix designed to stimulate more nitric oxide production during sleep, along with L-Citruline, Vitamins C & E and Folic Acid which support heart health.

Loui Ignarro collaborated with Herbalife on creating a supplement to increase Nitric Oxide levels and support heart health. He received the Noble Prize* for this groundbreaking effort.

Nitric Oxide

Nitric Oxide (NO), produced by cells, relaxes and widens blood vessels. Additionally, it helps the body absorb oxygen and nutrients more easily and regulate blood circulation. Nitric oxide impacts nearly every cell in your body including those responsible for hormone production and regulation as well as those that make blood. Nitric oxide has also been linked to increasing exercise performance, decreasing risk for heart disease and improving sexual functioning as well as skin health.

Herbalife claims its nitric oxide supplements can increase levels, helping you exercise longer before becoming fatigued and improving overall heart health. But there is little scientific support for this claim. To boost nitric oxide naturally, try eating foods rich in precursors for it like beets and leafy green vegetables.

At an Herbalife convention, Louis Ignarro, a Nobel laureate in physiology or medicine and member of Herbalife’s Scientific and Nutrition Advisory Board, promoted Niteworks. Ignarro entered the stage to loud music and rhythmic clapping reminiscent of how boxers or wrestlers are introduced at championship events; his presentation focused on what he believed Niteworks could offer the body.

Herbalife reports that Ignarro has conducted studies demonstrating the efficacy of L-citrulline and vitamin C and E supplementation on improving cellular communication and reducing oxidative stress, with his most recent mouse study revealing supplementation of arginine with C and E helped them exercise for longer without tiring out.

Nitric oxide supplements haven’t been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration to treat ED, so you shouldn’t rely on them as an effective solution. Furthermore, taking them could cause side effects like stomach upset and diarrhea; others may even have allergies to them due to them not going through rigorous safety testing like medications do.

Cardiovascular Health

Cardiovascular health refers to the state of your heart and blood vessels in transporting oxygen-rich blood throughout your body. When functioning optimally, cardiovascular systems provide life-giving oxygen to every cell – but if they malfunction it can be fatal. To ensure your cardiovascular system functions efficiently it’s best to eat healthily, engage in plenty of physical activity, avoid tobacco products like cigarettes and alcohol as well as stressors such as tobacco and excessive drinking or smoking, avoid alcohol consumption and stress altogether and stay stress-free!

Nitric oxide plays an essential role in cardiovascular health by maintaining blood vessel tone and elasticity while supporting normal circulation. Herbalife partnered with Louis Ignarro, professor of molecular and medical pharmacology at UCLA who was awarded the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his groundbreaking discoveries related to nitric oxide. Ignarro conducted extensive research in this area that led him to create Herbalife Niteworks – a lemon-flavored powder mix designed to increase production of life-sustaining nitric oxide while asleep – by stimulating production during sleep when levels naturally decrease naturally.

Niteworks can help enhance cardiovascular health, boost energy and support immunity – and may reduce the risk of high cholesterol, high blood pressure and other chronic diseases like diabetes, stroke and high blood glucose.

Exercise

Exercise requires your body to receive oxygen and nutrients via blood vessels that supply oxygen directly. As you work out more often, your heart and blood vessels become increasingly resistant to damage from oxidative stress or the build-up of plaque from cholesterol deposits – but as more you exercise, the better they’ll function over time! The good news is that with regular physical activity comes improved heart and blood vessel function over time.

To improve cardiovascular health, take Herbalife Niteworks supplements and make wise lifestyle decisions such as lowering your blood pressure and cholesterol, eating a low-sodium diet, exercising regularly, quitting smoking and maintaining a healthy weight. Improving cardiovascular health will allow you to avoid serious complications associated with chronic conditions like heart disease and diabetes while simultaneously increasing quality of life; by following such practices you can enjoy long and fulfilling lives!

Energy

Niteworks(r), created with Nobel laureate Lou Ignarro, helps your body produce more nitric oxide for enhanced cardiovascular and immune system functioning. A blend of L-arginine, L-citrulline and vitamins C & E promotes normal vascular function while lemon balm soothes and relaxes your body – take two scoops (10 g) mixed in with 240 ml of water at bedtime for best results.*

Herbalife claims that Niteworks ingredients produce nitric oxide slowly over a prolonged period, ensuring it can be available when needed, according to animal studies and test tube experiments with human cells. At Herbalife’s Extravaganza conference in Phoenix, Ignarro touted his own treadmill performance had improved significantly since taking Niteworks; his friends had seen blood pressure drop; then quoted from a Washington Post article written by Ferid Murad, co-winner of the 1998 Nobel Prize for Chemistry along with Ignarro; that supplementation has shown to improve exercise performance among elderly male cyclists.

L-Arginine

Murad’s study involved 16 elderly cyclists who received either 5.2 grams of L-arginine or placebo for four weeks. The group given L-arginine experienced significant improvements in their anaerobic threshold – or point at which fatigue sets in; those given placebo saw no change at all.

Although Ignarro’s research results were encouraging, he failed to disclose his status as an Herbalife consultant at the time he conducted it – something which may have had an effect on whether the journal accepted and published his study.

Herbalife promotes Niteworks on its Web site, where there is a video of Ignarro’s presentation at the Extravaganza and an invitation to order via toll-free number. Independent distributors sell Niteworks through Herbalife’s HealthWellLife network; one such independent distributor was Robert Brubaker who sold it through his own Web site from 2004 until 2007. After Evans exposed him, however, Brubaker shut his site but continued promoting Herbalife products via another one called Healthy Life Foundation instead.

Muscle Recovery

Exercise puts stress on your muscles. This causes microscopic tears in muscle fibers which must then be repaired by the body; for optimal recovery it is important to take breaks between workouts and rest well at night in order to speed up this process and ensure faster muscle recovery.

When muscle fibers become damaged, your body takes steps to repair those areas using protein and carbs from your diet, then dilates blood vessels for increased circulation to bring in nutrients needed for healing and remove waste while stimulating tissue formation through myokine proteins.

All this hard work for your muscles can make you tired and sore, but inflammation may also contribute to this sensation. Certain foods and supplements may either exacerbate or reduce it – for best results try limiting consumption of processed meats, dairy products, fried foods, sugary drinks and alcoholic beverages; instead focus on eating plenty of leafy vegetables, fish, fruits and olive oil which all have anti-inflammatory properties.

Closing Thoughts

Ferid Murad, M.D., who shared the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his research on nitric oxide was featured in an article about Herbalife’s 2003 Extravaganza Las Vegas presentation and was quoted in the Washington Post article about it. Murad felt Niteworks ingredients made sense. Additionally, l-citrulline may only marginally recycle l-arginine and could possibly have been included for patenting purposes.

Herbalife’s website states that Ignarro and Healthwell Ventures LLC receive one percent of Niteworks sales revenue through his consulting firm and other companies he owns, such as Healthwell Ventures LLC. Ignarro was paid $5.7 million through these channels from Herbalife between 2004 and 2008 through these same entities, according to Pershing Square reports; since 2004, Herbalife has paid Ignarro with at least $15 million through these affiliated consulting firms.
